Engineered in cooperation with Kyle Klien, the Vanguard is a blunt-nosed fairway driver that resembles an FD1 or FD3 with slightly smoother margins on the edges and rim on the molding, allowing it to sit more comfortably in the hand. This disc is meant to be thrown with force and relied upon when needed most. A more powerful throw is able to carry forward on a rope and finish with moderate fade and steeper angles of throws can execute a hyzer line or anhyzer that returns reliably with ease.
Based on their popular S-Line plastic, Discmania developed the Special Blend S-Line for special discs, like the Creator Series line. It still has a familiar softer feel but may contain some subtle color varieties as well that are both unique and visually pleasing.
Started by Finnish professional disc golfer Jussi Meresmaa, Discmania is taking its mantra of "Reinvent Your Game" seriously by offering innovative products like the P2 putter used by many professionals, and the DD3 driver.
No word what DD3 means in Finnish though. We think it means "Dang tree". Well, at least when we throw it with our noodle arm.
