Viking Discs's Air plastic is lightweight plastic, thanks to the "micro bubbles" (Not to be confused with "Michael Buble"... which sounds like a great idea come to think of it) injected in the rim during the molding process. The precision results in a lighter weight disc, with the same premium feel. Lighter discs tend to be more friendly to those just starting out, or for those with slower arm speeds. Discs in the Air plastic are great for beginners.
