The Magic is the most popular putter offered by Gateway and one of the best all around discs for both new and advanced players. It's a straight-flying putt & approach disc that is easy for beginners to control because of its great glide and small amount of low speed fade. This is also an easy disc to turn over and will hold just about any line it is thrown on without hyzering out.
The Super Soft plastic is used in Gateway putt & approach discs. This makes the discs slightly stiff in the rim and pliable in the flight plate. While discs will flex in half at 14-18 lbs of pressure, this material is still firm enough to be used for driving and lay up shots.
As their name implies Gateway is based in St. Louis and has been active in the disc golf community since 1994. When they're not busy help design disc golf courses (the current count is over 90!) they have created a special line of discs including their popular putter the Wizard.
They were the first to develop wide-winged drivers to battle wicked headwinds and currently have over 32 PDGA-approved models available in three plastic blends: Diamond, Platinum and Sure Grip. They've recently started working with hemp polymers which is sure to attract a, uh... um... new market of players.
