Divergent Discs continues to grow their lineup of discs, this time with a follow-up to its popular Alpas putter. Using the same new StayPut plastic they created the more overstable Golem. The super-soft silicone plastic ensures that the disc doesn’t bounce or skip. Where the disc lands, it will stay within a few feet.
StayPut is a new plastic from Divergent Discs used for thier specialty approach discs. It's a silicone blend similar to rubber and is ultra-soft, flexible, and designed to “stay put” next to the basket without skipping or bouncing.
WARNING: StayPut plastic can become brittle in cold weather. Divergent Discs advises against using these discs when outside temperatures dip low as discs can break on impact.
Divergent Discs is a bit different than other disc manufacturers. Instead of going out and working with the Paul McBeth's of the disc golf world they have instead focused on the everyday recreational player. They design their discs with three objectives in mind: keep things simple (no need for a bunch of different plastics types and a gazillion molds), make discs that are easy to throw (we like this one), and keep things affordable. Pretty good focus if you ask us.
