The Dragonfly, Morrisville's New Temp Course

Morrisville, North Carolina, is "buzzzing" with excitement as we celebrate  the grand opening of The Dragonfly Temporary Disc Golf Course, an awesome addition to our town's recreational amenities. This fantastic course, crafted by the one-and-only Jay Pontier, is a testament to the collaborative spirit of our community and promises (almost) endless fun for local disc golf enthusiasts. With a hefty helping of help from our helpful friends at the Capital Area Disc League (CADL) "The Dragonfly" is now the hottest disc golf spot in town!

Named after the ever-adaptable dragonfly, the new course is ready to take you on a whirlwind adventure with its nine cleverly designed holes that cater to disc golfers of all stripes. Beginners will enjoy the shorter fairways, and the approachable terrain. More experienced players will appreciate the variety of shot shapes required to attack the basket from the tee. 

Course Highlights:

• M'Town Y'all: Big ups to the Town of Morrisville Parks & Recreation Director Mary Faucette and all her peeps. Thanks to Assistant Public Works Director Steve Spruill and his entire squad. And a special shout out to Mayor TJ Cawley (yeah, the Mayor with the PDGA number!).  This team made it possible. 

• CADL's Disc-tacular Support: The Capital Area Disc League (CADL) has been our trusty super-hero team throughout this adventure, helping install and maintain the course so you can enjoy it to the fullest.

• Cheers to Lou and Becky Urani: A huge round of applause for Morrisville's own Lou and Becky Urani! Their passion and dedication have turned "The Dragonfly" into a reality we can all enjoy.

• Perfect Family Setting: Nestled in Morrisville's growing town center, "The Dragonfly" offers not just epic disc golf but also easy access to nearby greenway, playground, community garden, and the library.

Saturday Morning shopping was never THIS fun before: 

"The Dragonfly" is conveniently located at the same location of the Western Wake Farmer's Market (WWFM) on Saturday mornings 8 to noon. So you can have your fun and a side of veggies! So come out early to get your shop on.

Hosted Rounds... Yes, Please: 

Periodically throughout the year, Yeet Street Discs will be setting up a table at the Farmer's Market on select Saturday mornings. We will come out with some loaner discs and some volunteers to try and grow the sport. The goal will be to offer to help new players remove any barrier of entry and have volunteers throughout the course offering friendly pointers to the new players.
